American Heart Association Launches Global Heart Failure Center Certification to Improve Patient Care

The American Heart Association (AHA) has introduced a comprehensive Heart Failure Center Certification program designed to elevate global heart failure care standards and reduce the significant health burden associated with this chronic condition. With more than 56 million people worldwide living with heart failure, the certification aims to improve patient outcomes through standardized, evidence-based treatment protocols.

Heart failure is a complex medical condition that impairs the heart's ability to pump oxygen-rich blood effectively throughout the body. While no cure currently exists, research demonstrates that structured, guideline-directed medical therapies can significantly improve patient quality of life and slow disease progression.
