Angkor Resources Expands Cambodian Oil and Gas Exploration with Mussel Basin Approval

Angkor Resources Corp. has received approval from Cambodian government authorities to incorporate the Mussel Basin area into its Block VIII oil and gas license, adding 220 square kilometers to the exploration territory. This expansion brings Block VIII to a total of 4,277 square kilometers, following the company's earlier removal of all parks and protected areas from development consideration in March 2025.

Review of vintage 2008 Accelerated Weight Drop 2-D seismic lines has identified interesting potential stratigraphic trapping anomalies. These geological features, combined with known legacy surface oil seeps documented in the area, make this basin a prospective target for early exploratory drilling activities.

The company plans to incorporate seismic lines from the Mussel Basin into its current field seismic operations, targeting completion by September 20, 2025 for subsequent processing and interpretation.
