Avon Theatre Embarks on Major Renovation to Preserve Legacy and Enhance Community Engagement

The Avon Theatre - Deborah & Chuck Royce Cinema Arts Center has initiated the public phase of the Avon reCreated Capital Campaign, aiming to preserve its historic essence while upgrading to meet contemporary standards. This renovation project, the most extensive in the theater's 85-year history, includes the addition of a new screening room, ADA compliance upgrades, state-of-the-art technology, and the restoration of historic features, all designed to enhance the community's cinematic and cultural experience.

Arthur Selkowitz and Susan Cullman, co-chairs of the Board of Directors, emphasized the campaign's significance beyond physical renovations, highlighting its role in enriching the community for future generations. The project also offers supporters various naming opportunities to contribute to the theater's legacy, with every donation directly supporting independent cinema and cultural programs in Fairfield County.
