Ballast Rock, a diversified investment management firm, has appointed Max Jackson as Managing Director and Private Credit Portfolio Manager, highlighting the company's strategic focus on expanding its private credit investment capabilities. In his newly created role, Jackson will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and sourcing private credit and development capital opportunities. His background includes significant experience in transaction advisory, having previously worked at KeyBanc's Utilities, Power & Renewable Energy Capital Markets team, where he advised on more than $1 billion in transactions across 500 assets.

Simon O'Shea, Ballast Rock's Chief Investment Officer, emphasized the strategic importance of private credit, noting it as one of the fastest-growing segments in financial services. Jackson's expertise is expected to help the firm capitalize on emerging investment opportunities and enhance its portfolio diversification strategies.

Prior to joining Ballast Rock, Jackson's professional experience includes roles at KeyBanc, MVP Capital, and Fifth Third Securities. He also spent four years as a senior auditor at Deloitte, providing assurance services to private and public companies across multiple industries including retail, green technology, and financial services.

Jackson's academic background from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in Business-Economics and minors in Environmental Systems in Society and Accounting, complements his professional trajectory. His multidisciplinary education aligns with Ballast Rock's commitment to bringing diverse perspectives to investment management.
