BIKE 5 Event Showcases Central Florida's Progress Toward Safer Cycling Infrastructure

The ninth annual BIKE 5 cycling event returns to Central Florida on October 25, 2025, representing more than just a recreational ride but a demonstration of the region's progress toward creating safer, more connected transportation networks for cyclists. This year introduces a new 10-mile BIKE 5 Main Streets Ride that showcases vibrant local neighborhoods and business districts while highlighting the connections between South Orlando and Downtown Orlando through cyclist-forward infrastructure. The route takes participants through City District, Thornton Park, The Milk, Mills 50, Ivanhoe Village, and Audubon Park, demonstrating how low-cost improvements over recent years have created more accessible cycling corridors. The flagship BIKE 5 Cities route continues to offer a 30-mile journey through Orlando, Winter Park, Eatonville, Maitland, and Casselberry, available in both guided and self-guided formats.
