Bollinger Motors Delivers First Electric Truck to New York City Ecology Center

Mullen Automotive's subsidiary Bollinger Motors has delivered an innovative all-electric commercial truck to the Lower East Side Ecology Center in New York City, marking a significant step in urban environmental transportation. The Bollinger B4, a Class 4 electric vehicle, was funded by the NYC Council and represents a strategic investment in sustainable municipal infrastructure.

The B4 truck features a robust 158-kWh battery with a 185-mile range, making it well-suited for urban operational needs. Equipped with a 16-foot dry box and power lift gate, the vehicle is specifically designed to support composting and environmental programs, demonstrating the practical applicability of electric vehicles in specialized municipal services.

This delivery underscores Mullen Automotive's commitment to expanding electric vehicle adoption in commercial sectors. The company has already achieved significant milestones, including receiving federal EV tax credit approval and California Air Resource Board certification for its commercial vehicle lineup. In August 2023, Mullen began commercial vehicle production at its Tunica, Mississippi facility, and has since expanded its dealer network to seven locations across key U.S. markets.
