Canadian RV Association Celebrates 50 Years with Charitable RV Giveaway

The Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) is commemorating five decades of industry leadership with an innovative charitable initiative that underscores its ongoing commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.

Founded in 1975, CRVA has been a pivotal force in representing Canadian RV manufacturers and suppliers, establishing quality standards, and advocating for industry regulations. Throughout its 50-year history, the association has played a crucial role in promoting the RV lifestyle and supporting outdoor tourism in Canada.

To mark this significant milestone, CRVA has partnered with General Coach Canada to donate a 2025 25' Citation Reward Travel Trailer, which will be used to support Care Camps, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing specialized oncology camps for children with cancer. The RV will be raffled off, with 100% of proceeds directly benefiting the charity.

The initiative represents more than a simple fundraising effort. By leveraging its 50th-anniversary celebration, CRVA is demonstrating how industry organizations can create meaningful social impact. The travel trailer will be unveiled at the Toronto Spring Camping and RV Show and will subsequently embark on a cross-country journey, raising awareness for both the RV lifestyle and the critical work of Care Camps.

CRVA's celebrations will extend beyond the RV giveaway. The organization plans to introduce a special 50th-anniversary logo, develop historical retrospectives highlighting key industry contributors, and launch advocacy campaigns reinforcing its commitment to industry standards and government relations.

CRVA President Shane Devenish emphasized the significance of this milestone, noting that the anniversary is an opportunity to recognize the contributions of board members, dedicated industry stakeholders, and partners who have supported the association's growth over the past half-century.
