Chemify Launches World's First Chemputation Facility in Glasgow

Chemify has unveiled its first Chemifarm, a fully automated chemistry facility in Glasgow, representing a major leap in molecular design and synthesis. This 21,500-ft² site integrates AI-driven molecular-design with industrial-scale robotic synthesis, significantly speeding up the process from concept to compound. The facility is poised to revolutionize the discovery of small-molecule medicines and next-generation materials, addressing some of society's most pressing challenges.

The Chemputation platform at the heart of Chemifarm combines a bespoke programming language, extensible robotics, and the world's largest library of validated reactions. This innovation enables the on-demand design and optimization of molecules previously considered unreachable, offering new possibilities in drug discovery and materials science.

Supported by a £12 million investment from the Glasgow City Region Innovation Accelerator Programme and a £1.1M grant from Scottish Enterprise, the facility is expected to create 60 new jobs and safeguard over 50 existing roles in Glasgow. Chemify's partners in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and materials-science sectors will benefit from confidential, on-demand access to bespoke molecules for research and development.
