Dawson Geophysical Company has entered into a significant agreement with Geospace Technologies Corporation for the purchase of Pioneer, an ultralight seismic land node, with the deal valued at approximately $24 million. This acquisition underscores the industry's shift towards more efficient, lightweight seismic data acquisition technologies that do not compromise on data quality.
