Eight Startups Selected to Innovate Women's Heart and Brain Health Technologies

The American Heart Association, in collaboration with its Center for Health Technology and Innovation, has selected eight companies to participate in the Heart and Brain Health Accelerator. This initiative aims to foster innovations that could enhance patient outcomes, reduce healthcare costs, and lower barriers to care, particularly in women's heart and brain health. The selected startups are developing technologies ranging from non-invasive diagnostics to AI-driven health monitoring systems, each with the potential to make significant impacts in their respective fields.

Among the innovations, Kelvin Health is leveraging mobile thermal imaging and AI for vascular disease diagnostics, while LightHearted AI Health is creating a contactless device for heart condition detection. MOMM Diagnostics focuses on early preeclampsia detection through a simple blood test, and Powerful Medical uses AI to interpret ECGs more accurately. Reach Neuro, Sinaptica Therapeutics, SynchNeuro, and Veravas are also developing groundbreaking technologies aimed at stroke recovery, Alzheimer's treatment, blood sugar monitoring, and disease detection, respectively.

These companies will benefit from the MedTech Innovator program, gaining access to mentorship, funding, and networking opportunities. They will also compete in the MedTech Innovator Competition Finals, showcasing their solutions to a broader audience. The selection was made by a committee of experts, highlighting the potential of these technologies to transform care for women worldwide.
