The simultaneous opening of the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show and Hong Kong International Jewellery Show brings together 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries, highlighting the events' significance as the world's largest one-stop jewellery marketplace and their role in showcasing industry innovations and global trends.

The 12th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show opened today at AsiaWorld-Expo, with the 42nd Hong Kong International Jewellery Show following on Wednesday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), these twin events collectively represent the world's largest one-stop jewellery marketplace, featuring approximately 4,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions, with 70% coming from outside Hong Kong. Jenny Koo, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC, emphasized that the shows present an extensive spectrum of product categories including diamonds, gemstones, pearls, finished jewellery pieces, designer brands, mounting components, product packaging, and identification instruments and technologies.
The Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show features more than 20 pavilions representing various countries, regions and trade organisations, with the Zhushan Turquoise Pavilion making its debut this year. Three major product zones—the Hall of Fine Diamonds, Treasures of Nature, and Treasures of Ocean—highlight materials including high-end diamonds, natural gemstones and pearls sourced globally. Notable exhibitors include Arihant Star (HK) Limited showcasing a fancy intense pink VVS2 diamond, Emco Gem Inc. presenting an 11-carat cushion-cut Colombian emerald, and Alain Boite S.A.S. exhibiting a freshwater pearl strand measuring 14 to 15.8 mm. Around 10 exhibitors are featured in the GIA Hong Kong Laboratory Limited offering jewellery authentication services, with GIA launching a new coloured gemstone report that presents clearer information on a stone's type, processing and origin. Hong Kong Limited provides professional testing services and actively promotes origin technologies to enhance accuracy and transparency in gemstone identification.
Throughout the Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Show, multiple industry seminars, jewellery parades, networking receptions and other activities will be held. Key seminars include "Forever Forward: Igniting Desire for Natural Diamonds" with representatives from De Beers analysing natural diamond market trends, "Sustainable Gem Practices: Provenance & Ethical Traceability" introducing integration of scientific testing and blockchain records, and a special promotion conference for Zhushan Turquoise sharing the mining and transformation process. The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show will feature 20 group pavilions worldwide, with the World Gold Council debuting the Hard Pure Gold Pavilion and the Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Pavilion making its first appearance. Creative design zones including Designer Galleria will feature about 50 designer exhibitors, while the Hall of Fame has expanded by more than 40% to present broader international jewellery brands.
To facilitate buyer visits, the HKTDC arranges free shuttle bus services between AsiaWorld-Expo and urban areas including the HKCEC, with continued special measures for Muslim buyers including dedicated prayer rooms, shuttle buses to local mosques, and lists of Muslim-friendly hotels and restaurants. The HKTDC has partnered with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and various enterprises to offer exclusive buyer privileges including dining, air tickets, and hotels. This year's twin jewellery shows continue to adopt the Exhibition+ online and offline hybrid format, with AI-powered Click2Match providing online business matching from 23 February to 13 March. Physical buyers can use Scan2Match to scan exhibitor QR codes for continued online discussions, while buyers can enhance efficiency through advance registration and verification via the HKTDC Marketplace App and official fair websites.
