Legendary Band Klymaxx Robbed During Bay Area Tour Stop

The iconic all-female band Klymaxx, featuring Cheryl Cooley, experienced a distressing smash and grab theft in the Bay Area following their Juneteenth holiday performances. The incident occurred on June 23, 2025, at Kincaid's restaurant in Burlingame, California, where the band's rental vehicle was broken into, leading to the loss of items valued at several thousand dollars.

Despite the presence of a security guard, the theft was not prevented, and the band was left to deal with the aftermath, including cuts from shattered glass and the loss of passports, IDs, and musical equipment. The Burlingame Police were commended for their prompt and courteous response, with Officer Theo receiving special thanks for his assistance.

The band members, shaken by the violation of their personal safety and the disruption to their livelihood, are working to recover from the incident. A GoFundMe has been set up to help replace the stolen items, as the band aims to continue their 40th Anniversary Tour, celebrating their legacy in the music industry.
