Nilu27 Unveils Groundbreaking NILU Hypercar with Over 1000 Horsepower

Nilu27, a new hypercar brand founded by renowned sports car designer Sasha Selipanov, has revealed its inaugural vehicle: the NILU hypercar. This groundbreaking automobile aims to redefine the hypercar segment by eschewing current industry trends in favor of a pure, unfiltered driving experience.

The NILU hypercar stands out in today's automotive landscape by deliberately avoiding electrification, digitalization, and other technological aids. Instead, it offers drivers a raw, analog experience that harkens back to the golden age of motorsports. Drawing inspiration from diverse sources such as 1960s Formula 1 and Le Mans racers, classic Italian design, and even avant-garde metal music, the NILU's design is both unique and familiar.

At the heart of the NILU is a bespoke 6.5-liter, 80-degree V12 engine developed in partnership with Hartley Engines of New Zealand. This powerplant is expected to produce over 1000 horsepower, positioning the NILU to potentially become the world's most powerful naturally aspirated hypercar. The engine features a unique "Hot V" configuration, with exhaust and intake positions swapped for improved packaging, heat extraction, and aesthetics.

The NILU's chassis is constructed from a carbon fiber monocoque with aluminum-alloy tubular subframes, prioritizing lightweight design and ease of maintenance. The exterior design, characterized by tight cross sections and sinuous curves, emphasizes aerodynamic efficiency and functional beauty, adhering to the Bauhaus principle of "form follows function."

Inside the cabin, the NILU offers a driver-centric environment with manual, analog controls and minimal digital interfaces. The compact, round steering wheel is devoid of buttons or switches, allowing for precise input and feedback. A seven-speed manual transmission further emphasizes the car's commitment to an engaging driving experience.

Nilu27 has partnered with several industry leaders to bring the NILU to life, including Brembo for carbon-ceramic brakes, Michelin for high-performance tires, and Aria Group for initial prototype and customer car assembly. The company plans to produce only 15 units of this track-focused version, with a street-legal variant limited to 54 units in development.

The NILU hypercar represents a bold statement in an industry increasingly focused on electrification and autonomous technologies. By prioritizing driver engagement and mechanical purity, Nilu27 aims to create a timeless vehicle that will appeal to passionate car enthusiasts and collectors.

The public debut of the NILU hypercar is scheduled for August 15 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Monterey, California, where it will be showcased on the event's famous Concept Lawn. Additionally, digital enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience the NILU in the mobile racing game CSR Racing 2 starting this November.
