Opawica Explorations Initiates Drilling Program at High-Potential Bazooka Gold Property

Opawica Explorations has begun mobilizing drilling equipment to its Bazooka Project, situated in the renowned Abitibi gold belt of Quebec, marking a significant step in the company's exploration strategy. The project focuses on evaluating 20 high-priority drill targets identified through collaborative efforts with ALS Geoanalytics, positioning the company to potentially uncover substantial gold mineralization.

The drilling program will be conducted by RJLL Forage Drilling, a local company with over a century of regional drilling expertise. The Bazooka property is strategically located along the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break/Fault, a geological structure recognized for its prolific gold-producing potential. This geological context provides a promising foundation for the exploration efforts.

Gold mineralization at the Bazooka property is concentrated within a complex zone of quartz-carbonate-sericite and talc-chlorite schists, spanning an estimated true width of up to 60 meters. The property's proximity to multiple active mines within a 7-kilometer radius further underscores the region's significant mineral potential.

CEO Blake Morgan emphasized the company's commitment to maximizing asset value through strategic exploration. The current drilling program represents a culmination of extensive preparatory work, including a comprehensive 384-line-kilometer geophysical survey and substantial investment of over $6 million in asset development since 2021.

The exploration strategy is bolstered by several key advantages, including convenient road access, available hydroelectric power, and established relationships with local first nations and contractors. These factors contribute to potentially reducing exploration costs and facilitating a smooth operational process.

Previous exploration efforts have already yielded promising results, with Phase 1 drilling revealing multiple high-grade zones and visible gold. The current program aims to build upon these findings, utilizing advanced geological models developed through comprehensive data analysis, including historical sources and innovative AI machine learning techniques.

The Bazooka Project represents a critical component of Opawica Explorations' broader strategy to develop its portfolio of precious and base metal properties in the Rouyn-Noranda region. By systematically exploring and evaluating these high-potential targets, the company seeks to create value for its stakeholders and contribute to the ongoing exploration of one of the world's most significant gold-producing regions.
