The Newbury of Brookline has announced the launch of a respite care program aimed at offering temporary accommodations and personalized care for seniors in the Boston area. This initiative is part of Kisco Senior Living’s national portfolio of Signature communities, providing seniors with spacious residences, chef-prepared meals tailored to various dietary needs, and a comprehensive schedule of life-enriching activities. Among these activities is the Tovertafel, an interactive game projection system designed to enhance social, physical, sensory, and cognitive wellbeing.

Frances Bates, general manager at The Newbury of Brookline, highlighted the program's significance in addressing the challenges faced by adult children caring for their aging parents. With over 11 million Americans providing unpaid care for individuals with dementia, and 70% of these caregivers reporting high levels of stress, the respite care program offers a much-needed solution.
