The Platform Group AG, a leading software company for platform solutions, has announced that its subsidiary Digitec Living Brands GmbH has acquired a stake in Berlin-based PMR Handels GmbH, marking a significant expansion in the furniture sector. PMR operates several online shops including Sofa-dreams.com and sells products from affiliated partners across more than 12 countries, positioning this acquisition as a strategic move to enhance The Platform Group's market reach.

This expansion further solidifies the company's position within the furniture industry, particularly as B2B customers have gained significant importance over the last two years. The acquisition aligns with The Platform Group's broader strategy of connecting more furniture manufacturers to their platforms while maintaining operational independence for acquired companies.
