TOMY Unveils Crowd-Funded Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise Model from 'The Motion Picture'

TOMY International, in collaboration with Paramount, has announced the launch of a crowd-funding campaign for a meticulously crafted replica of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Set to begin pre-orders on August 1, 2024, this limited-time offering presents Star Trek enthusiasts with an opportunity to own what TOMY claims will be the definitive version of the iconic starship.

The 1:350 scale model, measuring 34.29 inches in length, is the result of TOMY's second partnership with Paramount and showcases an unprecedented level of detail. Bill Walters, Senior Vice President at TOMY International, emphasized the model's significance, stating, "This TOMY Plus crowd-funded U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 will be the centerpiece of any avid Star Trek fan's collection."

To ensure maximum accuracy, TOMY has collaborated with renowned Star Trek experts, including Gary Kerr. Kerr praised the model's authenticity, noting, "As far as I'm concerned, this is the most accurate model of the Motion Picture Enterprise that has yet been produced, as its design incorporates reference materials not available previously."
