Cow Shades solar structures provide shade for cows and generate off-grid power for various purposes such as irrigation, pumps, charging stations, and wifi. The goal is to reduce demand charges and emissions from propane, gas, and fossil fuels. With the Cow Shades WIFI network, farmers can access apps in the field and utilize integrated sensors to monitor cow health, weather conditions, and detailed in-field data, including solar production and available storage. The solar structures are connected in a mesh network to optimize panel aggregation. Additionally, the Cow Shades team addresses methane pollution from cows by implementing an innovative process to cap manure emissions.
