It’s a season-long celebration in Boerne, and it all kicks off at Dickens on Main this Thanksgiving weekend, November 28 & 29 as Boerne’s Hill Country Mile transforms into a vintage Christmas wonderland, complete with four “villages,” filled with unique treats, kids’ activities and an entertainment lineup sure to delight the whole family.

Celebrate the magic of the holidays in Boerne with the 25th annual Dickens on Main holiday event, happening during the Thanksgiving weekend, November 28 and 29. This cherished tradition transforms Boerne’s famous Hill Country Mile into a vintage snowy Christmas wonderland.

Food trucks and unique vendors of all types will be spread throughout the event. Visitors will be surprised and delighted as carolers, Victorian-themed characters and street performers entertain along Main Street.
The following weekend, December 5 & 6, Boerne hosts a separate event, which includes the annual Weihnachts Parade on Saturday, where shops will once again stay open late as more than 100 lighted floats make their way down beautiful Main Street, and Friday’s Wassail Walk and Caroling Contest. The celebration continues one more weekend, December 12-14, with KinderFest and the Cowboy Christmas Market in Main Plaza, a perfect weekend for a more relaxed holiday vibe.

The official tree lighting will take place at Main Plaza on Friday night at 6 pm. Streets close each night at 4 p.m., with parking available on adjacent streets and lots, provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Arrive early and wear comfortable shoes for the best experience.
